Religion & You… Or not.

Each and every component that makes up your life experience is drawn to you by the powerful Law of Attraction’s response to the thoughts you think and the story you tell about your life. Your money and financial assets; your body’s state of wellness, clarity, flexibility, size, and shape; your work environment, how you are treated, work satisfaction, and rewards—indeed, the very happiness of your life experience in general—is all happening because of the story that you tell.

People never ask if I’m “religious.”  But they do ask why I’m so “happy” all the time, why I’m so “optimistic” about life, and where do I get my “energy” from.   I know it began in October 2006.  A friend thought I might enjoy reading a few “new age” books so I bought a few.  I absorbed every word as it resonated with me and I felt it explained “life.”  But I lived in skeptism at the time so I thought I’d “test” the theories in my own life.

I changed my mental outlook on life slowly, added some simple meditations, found some mantras I enjoyed reading, and kept reading.  This stuff is pretty deep.  I never really understood the bible or the institution of religion but not because I didn’t try.  I attended so many different types of churches growing up, went on bible vacations, and even got “saved” several times.

If someone does ask if I follow a particular religion, I usually say no.  But I align more closely with the eastern philosophies of Buddhism and Taoism.   The words of Abraham by Ester Hicks are probably my most favorite because there is no reference or inference to any particular religion.  It’s about leading a joyful life and living in the moment  (Just watch children in a playground- that is living joyful and in the moment).  Refreshing.

These quotes are easy for me to understand but if you are new to these thoughts, it can be confusing and flat out strange.   I don’t believe in telling you to go read about Abraham.  But if you do feel that life is a bit lifeless for you, do some soul searching and step out of the box- do some exploring of your own.

If something resonates with you, aka, FEELS GOOD, then dig deeper.  Life is short. Happiness is crucial.  Go get happy! I did.
